Doha: Customs authorities at Hamad International Airport (HIA) foiled an attempt to smuggle hashish into Qatar.
In several photos shared on social media, Customs stated that the seized narcotics were found in two boxes. It has a total weight of 1.95 kilograms.
On Thursday last week, authorities at HIA also foiled a smuggling attempt of the same narcotic substance. According to the report, the banned substance was found stashed among bed sheets, reaching a total weight of 1.85 kilograms.
Customs officers are provided with all means of support including the latest devices and continuous training to read the body language of passengers and to be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
