HIRED: Jon Decourcey, Cannabis Industry Research Analyst for Canaccord Genuity, Joins Viridian Capital

(New York, N.Y., December 8, 2020) — Viridian Capital Advisors is pleased to announce that Mr. Jon Decourcey has joined the firm as Director of Equity Research.

Mr. Decourcey joined the Canaccord Genuity equity research team in 2014, initially in the Infrastructure and Manufacturing Technology sector, and since 2018, with a focus on the Cannabis sector. There, he was responsible for the research coverage of public companies involved in the U.S. cannabis industry, from vertically integrated cannabis operators, to branded products manufacturers and ancillary service providers. He also developed and maintained proprietary market forecast models for the U.S. cannabis and hemp-derived CBD markets overall, and for specific states individually.

Before joining Canaccord Genuity, Mr. Decourcey worked at GW&K Investment Management, an asset management firm with $47 billion in assets under management, in the firm’s equity research and equity trading departments. Prior, he worked as an analyst for Brown Brothers Harriman.

Mr. Decourcey graduated from the Babson College with a B.S. degree in Business Management, and received his MBA from Boston College.
