Champawat Police’s attack against drugs continues. Under the operation crackdown being run against drug smugglers on the instructions of SP Champawat Ajay Ganapati, Lohaghat police and ANTF took major action against charas smugglers and arrested a history-sheeter including a woman smuggler with illegal charas.
Police attack against drugs
Late on Saturday evening, under the leadership of SO Lohaghat Surendra Singh Koranga, the Lohaghat police team searched the Swift Dezire car going towards Pithoragarh near Marodakhan. During the search, 800 grams of illegal hashish was found in the possession of history-sheeter and notorious smuggler Pushkar Singh Rawal alias Kalwa (55), son of Guman Singh, resident of Bautadi, of Lohaghat police station, and 440 grams of illegal hashish was found in the possession of Kamla Jukaria (42), wife of Girish Jukaria, resident of Gram Sabha Guth Garsadi. A total of 1 kg 240 grams of illicit hashish has been recovered and arrested.
Continuous action is going on against drug smugglers
The police have also seized the car of the accused. Giving information, SO Lohaghat Surendra Singh Koranga said that a case has been registered against both the accused under NDPS Act in Lohaghat police station, they were presented in the court on Sunday and sent to jail. SO Koranga said that Lohaghat Police’s action against drug smugglers is continuing.
Accused Pushkar is a history sheeter of Lohaghat police station
It is known that the accused Pushkar Singh Rawal alias Kalwa is a history-sheeter of Lohaghat police station. Who has been doing illegal business in Botari area for a long time. Apart from this, he has also been arrested several times for selling liquor. The woman is also said to be involved in hashish smuggling for a long time.
