Jakarta. The Jakarta Police have uncovered an international cocaine trafficking case involving 2,598 milliliters of liquid cocaine. Five individuals have been arrested in connection with the case.
Director of Narcotics Hengki said that two out of the five suspects are foreign nationals from Portugal, identified as RPAV and FMGS.
“RPAV acted as the courier while FMGS acted as the recipient,” Hengki said during a press conference at the Metro Jaya Regional Police headquarters in Jakarta on Monday.
Hengki revealed that the liquid cocaine was transported from Portugal and concealed in bottles of various shampoo brands, a tactic employed to deceive airport authorities.
