Man arrested after €240k of cannabis seized in Cork

A man has been arrested after €240,000 worth of cannabis was seized in Cork.

This followed a search of a residential premises in the Mahon area was conducted by members attached to the Divisional Drugs Unit on Anglesea Street.

During the course of this search, approximately 12kg of Cannabis with an estimated street value of €240,000 was recovered.

A man in his 20s was arrested and is currently being held at a Garda station in Cork City.

The drugs seized will be sent for forensic analysis.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
