July 9 2024 – Seventh Work Group Meeting: Discuss “discuss inventory tracking, enforcement and discipline, and revised application and licensing procedures”

Dear Interested Parties:

On Tuesday, July 9, the Division will host its seventh Work Group Meeting. In the morning session, from 9 a.m. to noon, we will discuss inventory tracking, enforcement and discipline, and revised application and licensing procedures. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., we will discuss any updates and revisions to draft rules presented in previous meetings. This feedback will help us prepare for the Permanent Rulemaking Meeting on July 25. We invite all interested parties to participate.

The July 9 meeting will have in-person and virtual options to attend. The Work Group Meeting agenda and draft rules for discussion are now available on the Division’s website and in the Division’s Public Resources-Rulemaking Materials folder.

How to Participate:

All members of the public can attend rulemaking meetings and participate in the discussion by signing up to provide comments. These structured work group meetings will be focused on the announced topic(s) and will include time limitations on comments to ensure everyone who signs up to provide comment has an opportunity to do so.

Interested stakeholders are also encouraged to submit comments on the draft rules using the Division’s written comment form. All comments submitted through this form are logged and reviewed throughout the rulemaking process to inform future meeting agenda items, discussions, questions, and the Division’s proposed rules.

The Division will continue drafting the rules leading up to July 25, when we will host our permanent rulemaking hearing.

Next Steps:

Please review the agenda and draft rules to provide informed comments on Tuesday, July 9.

Rulemaking meetings will be recorded and posted on the Division’s website by the end of the following business day. All rulemaking information is accessible on the Division’s rulemaking webpage.
