What to expect
This event will provide training on how to complete OCM’s social equity applicant (SEA) verification process. Those verified through this process would be eligible to submit an application for license preapproval, which is a separate process.

Sales and Use Tax for Cannabis Agricultural Production Course

This course covers the sales and use tax responsibilities for businesses engaged in hemp and cannabis production. We will discuss business purchases, including exemptions that may be available on agricultural equipment and supplies. We will also discuss the taxability of your sales and documentation necessary for claiming exemptions.

This is a new industry-specific course. It is available as a webinar only. We offer an Introduction to Sales and Use Tax Course that complements this training and covers general information that applies to all businesses.

This course is designed for:

  • Accountants
  • Bookkeepers
  • Business owners
  • Purchasing agents
  • Others who need a working knowledge of sales and use tax

Office of Cannabis Management Implementation Update Webinar

The Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) will hold an implementation update webinar on Tuesday, June 18, from 4-5 p.m. Among the topics:

  • General implementation update
  • 2024 legislative session wrap up and updated timelines
  • Rulemaking
  • Outreach, engagement and upcoming technical assistance

Registration is required and limited to 1,000 participants.
