In this episode I speak with West Australian Senator, Dr Brian Walker, who along with (now independent) Senator Sophia Moermand were the first politicans on the planet to be elected to a parliament under the banner of cannabis alone.
To paraphrase the late great Lee Scratch Perry, Dr Walker is all about bringing justice to the people.
Not only with regard to cannabis but a range of societal issues in which he believes cannabis can create a pathway for new thinking.
I discuss with Dr Walker his views on the Australian Cannabis Party as both a state and national organisation, what he believes the party stands for. what he hope for the party in the future and how it can play a part in changing the Australian political landscape.
We also discuss some of the realties of cannabis in Australia in 2024.

After practicing medicine for many years in many different countries, with front-line experience treating patients in hospitals, emergency departments, and general practice. I settled in the Perth Hills as GP at Serpentine Medical Centre.
Now, as a Member of Parliament, I know that far too many of our current laws are archaic, while others are unfit for purpose. High-level decisions have been made without adequate medical-scientific understanding, based often on fear rather than knowledge.
