East Bay law firm focused on representing cannabis businesses is hiring for a contract attorney to handle various litigation matters. At least 20 hours a week available at this time with the potential to grow to 40+ hours per week for the right candidate.

Job Details:

-Start Date – ASAP
-Work from home or office
-Rate – $65+/hr DOE
-Prepare pleadings, discovery, law & motion, pretrial preparation.
-Areas of Litigation: business, employment, real estate and construction, administrative, and others

Requirements:

-Good standing with California State Bar
-Own computer, phone and internet access (will provide access to Westlaw and Law Practice Management Software)
-Competency with standard productivity software (MS Word, Acrobat, Zoom, Google Apps, Any Browser)
-2+ years’ experience in civil litigation, with excellent research and writing skills.
-Experience with billable entries and interacting with law firm management software.
-Self-starting with the ability to drive cases with minimal oversight.
-Availability to start ASAP
