$1.3 million cocaine haul leads to BMW forfeiture
A California man originally reported to be transporting more than two pounds of cocaine through Madsion County was, according to newly available information, carrying more than 28 pounds of cocaine valued in excess of $1.3 million.
“Major drug-trafficking corrodes the rule of law and puts lives at risk, as these sentencing ranges reflect,” Madison County State’s Attorney Tom Haine said Friday. “Law enforcement agencies in Madison County and the State’s Attorney’s Office take these crimes very seriously.
