Maine: Hundreds of marijuana plants seized after multiple search warrants executed in Somerset County

Maine (WABI) – The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office says they’ve executed 10 search warrants within the past 2 months as part of an ongoing investigation surrounding illegal cultivation of marijuana in the county.

Three seizures took place in Norridgewock and Madison over the last week.

On March 18, authorities seized more than 350 marijuana plants and 3 pounds of processed marijuana from a residence on Perkins Street in Norridgewock. Authorities say no one was at the home.

ON Monday, authorities say they found more than 550 marijuana plants and drug related paraphernalia on Thurston Hill Road in Madison.

Same day in Norridgewock, authorities executed a search warrant at a residence on Upper Maine Street.
