Maine & METRC.. Legalization Nation’s Brian Brown sums it up in latest strip

This METRC conversation is one that has to be had .. i’d be interested to know if they have any former Lexis Nexis or TR employees working for them because the modus operandi is torn from the same grubby manual and state cannabis employees really need to get wise to this and ensure they control the negotiations not the service provider.

Contracts should be a maximum of 12 months and renewable on a range of metrics decided not only by state govt but also a committee comprised of licensed producers, and retailers in each jurisdiction.

I would also suggest a national body of state govt represenatives and licensees for further oversight as METRC have essentially been given a monopoly the way things stand at the moment.

I will be at the world’s biggest legal and compliance tech conference in London this June and intend to speak with a range of legal tech companies to see if there are other possible serious players who would see value in this market . MJ Freeway ended of being a back country lane and it appears the only metric that really interests METRC is profit

Time for things to change?
