- The detainee was transporting the drugs inside a suitcase
June 11, 2024.- Customs Surveillance Officials from the Tax Agency and the Fiscal and Border Detachment of the Civil Guard in Mallorca, in a joint operation, have arrested people in the port of Palma to a 23-year-old young man who was carrying 11 kilos of hashish in a suitcase.
Last Sunday, upon the arrival of a ship from Barcelona, Civil Guard agents carried out the usual checks on the vehicles and people disembarking. During these controls, a car driven by a young man raised the suspicions of the agents due to his attitude. They proceeded to identify and search the vehicle, finding inside a suitcase containing 11 kg of hashish and 200 marijuana vaporizers.
Immediately, the driver of the vehicle was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a drug trafficking crime. The detainee has been placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
