NORTH EAST — A man remains jailed after investigators confiscated nearly four ounces of suspect cocaine valued at approximately $10,000 while raiding his North East-area residence and pickup truck, ending a four-month-long investigation, according to the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators identified the suspect as 35-year-old Adrein Unique Tyler, who is charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine, police reported.
CCSO detectives focused on Tyler’s alleged “involvement in controlled dangerous substance distribution in Cecil County” during an investigation that started in September, according to Lt. Michael Zack, an agency spokesman.
Information gathered during that investigation led to a court-approved search of Tyer’s residence in the unit block of Chesapeake Ridge Lane and his 2021 GMC Sierra on Wednesday, Zack said. During that raid, police added, investigators seized 104 grams of suspect cocaine, more than $1,000 in cash and “cellular devices tied to the drug distribution operation,” Zack added. There are about 28 grams in one ounce.
