I try not to drown in the hyper-local stuff but it’s of interest because of the comments about sale of Hemp derived products

The Le Center City Council approved four new ordinances on Feb. 11 regulating the sale of cannabis within city limits. The new laws limits where cannabis retailers can operate following the passage of a local code of regulations on cannabis and hemp businesses in December.
The new ordinances allow the retail sale of cannabis and hemp-derived products in the city’s general business district, which includes many of the businesses along Highway 99 and the central business district in the heart of town.
The other two ordinances allow potential cannabis manufacturers in the city’s industrial and light manufacturing districts to sell and operate accessory retail operations with a conditional use permit.
“The way this is written, any retail sale occurring in the I-1a district would have to be accessory to the manufacturing,” said City Attorney Jason Moran. “So it would have to be primarily a manufacturing facility with on-site retail.”
Numbers posted by the Le Center Municipal Liquor Store showcased a budding market for THC products in the local area. Since offering off-sale THC drinks in mid-January, the Muni took in $686.
While those numbers are dwarfed by the $30,000 in off-sale beer revenues, $9,600 in off-sale liquor and $3,100 in off-sale wine, Muni Manager Becky Vikla noted that the THC drinks are a new addition and had only been on store shelves for two weeks.
The products could be a potential boon for the city, as the Muni not only receives cash from the THC drinks sold but an additional 10% in revenue for the city from the THC sales tax.
