Cannabis Industrie nl reports
A motion from the Hague City Party (1 seat in the municipal council) submitted a motion at the end of December that urges the municipality to ‘get started’ with participation in the Experiment closed coffee shop chain. The motion was actually adopted by the municipal council with a majority of votes.
They wrote on their website
Dutch soft drug policy is now hopelessly behind schedule. The tolerance construction leads to very strange situations where the front end – the coffee shop – is regulated but the back end – the production chain – is not. The national cannabis test will change that.
So far, only small municipalities are participating. A G-4 city is missing. A change in the law is even being worked on so that districts of larger cities can also participate. The plan is for this to become Amsterdam South East. We believe that as the municipality of The Hague we should also participate.
