The Kenosha County S.W.A.T. Team raided the home of a local attorney and former politician, Ted Kmiec last Thursday. Today, KCE has obtained court documents that detail what was found in the home. The documents also detail the investigation into serious drug possession and numerous child sex crimes. On December 19, 2024, Kenosha Sheriff’s Detectives and its S.W.A.T. team conducted an early-hours raid on the home and found a multitude of drugs and paraphernalia throughout the home.
Specifically, the Sheriff’s Department located, in part, the following:
From the front entrance, kitchen area:
• A broken unidentified pill
From the living room of the residence:
• An “Ozone” jar containing 3.2 grams of a green leafy substance.
From the west office:
• A small container containing .2 grams of a green leafy substance.
From the bedroom in the upper level of the residence:
• One package of “Shroom gummies”
• .3 grams of a green leafy substance.
From the bedroom on the north side of the living room:
• 14 vials of various anabolic steroids
• Boxes of new needles and syringes
• A scale
• Two, individual $1 bills rolled up
• 2 boxes of Narcan
• Charred tinfoil w/ unknown residue
• Small pieces of charboy
• Four glass pipes
• One syringe with needle
• One pill bottle containing 6 yellow pills and mini cotton balls
On Trenton’s person during arrest:
• Pen turned into straw w/brown residue inside
Kenosha County Eye has learned from someone familiar with the inside of the home, that Ted Kmiec’s bedroom is the upstairs bedroom where some drugs were found. The “bedroom on the north side of the living room” is Trenton’s, per the same source. Trenton was arrested, but Ted was not. We asked the Sheriff’s Department why Ted wasn’t arrested but didn’t hear back. We also didn’t hear back from the four District Attorneys that might be handling this case – Kenosha, Walworth, Racine, and Fond du Lac.
Ted Kmiec is a criminal defense attorney and last year, was ousted as a Village of Salem Lakes Trustee by a two to one margin. Ted is allegedly running for Judge in the April, 2025 election. KCE made contact with Ted and asked about the drugs throughout his bedroom and the rest of his home and he had no comment. On March 21, 2022, Ted’s mistress died in his bed from a drug overdose.
