National Copywriter

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a Copywriter with a background in B2C marketing who is excited about the opportunity to innovate in a results-driven environment. We believe powerful ideas translate across a variety of media, so we’re seeking someone comfortable working within multiple disciplines and adept at producing outstanding creative.

 

As a member of the National Creative team, the Copywriter will work closely with Brand, Marketing, and other teams within the organization to conceptualize, develop, and execute messaging for a variety of projects. They will report to the Senior National Copywriter.

 


Essential Job Functions:

  • Write original copy and format content across a range of channels such as Display, Site, Social, Email, and In-store
  • Collaborate with internal team from concept development to delivery of final product
  • Understand target audience to translate copy into compelling creative
  • Present copy concepts and final deliverables to reviewers; revise based on feedback
  • Ensure written materials are clear, concise, and persuasive to help bring the campaign strategy to life
  • Manage time and establish priorities while maintaining flexibility to respond to changing demands

 


Knowledge & Skills:

  • Excellent writing skills with demonstrated experience in marketing, advertising, product, brand messaging and/or promotional copy
  • Ability to think strategically and conceptualize creatively with a high level of detail
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and within a fast-paced team on a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times
  • Willingness to continually grow creatively, responding positively and effectively to direction
  • Comfortable with varying voice, style and other characteristics in alignment with guidelines
  • Ability to follow state regulations and versioning requirements
  • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and day-to-day deadlines

 


Required Skills:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree (Communications, English, Creative Writing, Marketing or similar track preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • Ability to provide an online portfolio displaying body of work and cover letter
  • Creative agency experience is a plus
  • Cannabis industry experience is a plus
  • Must be at least 21 years of age (or at least 18 years of age in CT, WV and PA)
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background screening

Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
