The publication of the research by Berenschot is already from last year, when it was published on 3 May.
That will be debated tomorrow and the accompanying letter from the ex-minister Van Ark (Medical Care and Sport) is also one of the appendices to the agenda item. Is the medical cannabis industry going to be broken up further as suggested by Ernst Kuipers?
The House of Representatives would be informed before the summer about the follow-up steps following the evaluation of the Bureau for Medicinal Cannabis (BMC), something Ernst Kuipers did at the end of May this year. In his letter to parliament he proposed, among other things, to change the role of the Bureau for Medicinal Cannabis and (before that) Opium Act.
This may therefore open up the medical cannabis industry further. So it’s extra important to join in (watch and/or listen) on Thursday. Like other committee meetings, the debate can be followed online via the website of the House of Representatives. The meeting itself is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., but the evaluation is only point five.
