A fourth employee is being fined and suspended because the employee failed to properly verify the age of an individual on April 9th in the dispensary’s drive thru. The employee scanned an underage individual’s identification card in VeriScan, and upon information and belief, the employee ignored the VeriScan notification that the individual was underage. The employee proceeded to allow the individual to purchase cannabis. The CCB looked into the incident and saw that the employee violated the law.
The CCB’s Counsel requested a revocation of the employee’s agent card and a $25,000 fine for the employee.

The employee also incurred two other violations by allowing an underage individual into the dispensary and allowing an underage individual to remain in the dispensary. The dispensary discovered the individual was under 21 and escorted her from the premises. The dispensary looked into the incident, reported the violations to the CCB and fired all of the employees involved.
