- Cannabis Control Board (#NYCCB) October 10th Meeting
- Women Leading in NY Cannabis: The #NYCCB is now women-led. With women holding less than 30% of executive positions and less than 20% in ownership across the country, this achievement marks a significant step toward achieving gender equity in the cannabis space.
- Medical Cannabis Expansion: The CCB approved three new Registered Organizations (RO) to better support unserved and underserved areas of the State, prioritizing diversity and inclusion. Approved applicants include:
- Nonna Farms LLC,
- NYRO Partners LLC,
- and RVNY-Ops, Inc.
- NOTE: All RO’s have a commitment to affordable, sustainable, and culturally competent cannabis services. More will be approved on a rolling basis.
- Licensing Operation Progression – Single Point of Contact (SPOC): At the CCB meeting, OCM announced that it has streamlined and centralized its operations, creating a single point of contact process, enhancing communication and transparency with applicants.
- #NYCannabis Market Growth: With sales nearing $700 million and the opening of over 200 legal adult-use stores, the New York cannabis market continues to thrive, with non-flower products leading the way at 52% of sales, flower at 37%, vaporizers at 27%, pre-rolls at 11%, and edibles at 14%.
