- Supporting Equity: Over 54% of adult-use licenses were awarded to social and economic equity applicants, surpassing our goal under the Marihuana Regulation and Taxation Act (MRTA).
- Federal Advocacy: Submitted public comment supporting cannabis rescheduling to Schedule III, reflecting its medicinal value and broad public support.
- Enhanced Enforcement: With expanded powers granted by Governor Hochul and the Legislature, OCM conducted over 1,300 inspections, seized more than 16,900 pounds of illicit cannabis, and issued fines totaling over $15 million.
- Empowering Medical Cannabis: Partnered with Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center to host New York’s first Medical Cannabis Symposium, championing patient access and product innovation.
- Driving Sustainability: Launched the PowerScore Landing and Energy & Environmental Sustainability platform to align cannabis industry practices with New York’s climate mandates.
- Improved Accessibility: Launched the Legal Online Cannabis Activities Locators (LOCAL) Map to help consumers locate licensed dispensaries and industry stakeholders access critical proximity data.
