Ohio – People Keep Getting Arrested With Jars of Weed

Man caught with 2 jars of marijuana; police arrest wanted man with 1 jar of marijuana

An Olmsted Township man, 30, faces possible criminal charges after police caught him with two glass jars of marijuana and various pills at about 1 p.m. Nov. 17.

Police stopped the man’s Volkswagen Jetta on North Rocky River near Emerson Avenue because his driver’s registration had expired in December 2020. They smelled marijuana in the car. The man handed police a glass marijuana smoking pipe and assured them that nothing else illegal was in the vehicle.

Police found two Adderall pills, which reduce hyperactivity, and one suboxone strip, used to treat narcotic dependence, in the man’s pants pocket. He admitted snorting an Adderall pill earlier because he was tired. The man said he had a prescription for the suboxone.

The marijuana, a second marijuana smoking pipe and half of a suboxone pill was under the Jetta’s driver’s seat. Police sent the pills to a lab for testing.

The man was walking southbound on Front Street near East Bagley Road when police spotted him. They stopped and placed him in handcuffs.

Marijuana possession: West Bagley Road

Police warned an 18-year-old Grafton woman and a 21-year-old Parma man after finding marijuana cigars in their Honda Element at about 10:30 p.m. Nov. 20.

Police stopped the couple’s vehicle on West Bagley near Blaze Industrial Parkway because one of the headlights wasn’t working. While speaking with the woman, who was driving the vehicle, police noticed one burned marijuana cigar on the passenger side of the dashboard.

The man was holding a small amount of marijuana in his coat pocket and handed it over to police, who then found a glass jar containing additional marijuana cigars in the vehicle.

Police confiscated the marijuana, but granted the man’s request to keep the container that had held the marijuana in his coat pocket.
