The City of Portland is proposing to increase the annual licensee fees for cannabis business by 8% (or about $300). There is opportunity to lobby against this change right now by submitting written testimony to the City Council or you can sign up to testify in person at the Wednesday morning hearing. This is just around the corner so don’t delay if you want to weigh in.

Make Yourself Heard: Submit written testimony on Agenda Item 374. On the webpage for submitting written testimony select “Agenda Item 274” (the very top item) and then you can either upload your comments as a pdf, jpg, jpeg, png or paste them into the provided text box.
Make Yourself Heard: Register for in person testimony. Just click the link and fill out the form. Your prepared testimony should be less than 2 minutes. The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday May 15th at 9:30 AM. Testimony is to begin at 9:45 and is scheduled for 30 minutes. You can register to give testimony in person or virtually.
The hearing will be held at 1900 SW Fourth Avenue, Room 2500, Portland, OR 97201.
