A lawyer in Erie County is facing disciplinary action after admitting to being under the influence of cocaine during a court hearing.

GoErie reports that attorney Nathaniel Strasser is facing suspension, disbarment or other potential disciplinary actions after he was accused of being high on cocaine during a preliminary hearing for a client facing DUI charges on Nov. 2, 2022.

Strasser was working as a part-time assistant public defender for Erie County at the time, and his behavior and demeanor during that hearing drew the attention of a Pennsylvania State Police trooper present in court.
