Police: Wausau middle school teacher arrested after bringing drugs on school property

WAUSAU (WAOW) — A 23-year-old math teacher at John Muir Middle School was arrested for bringing drugs onto school property Thursday afternoon.

The Wausau School District sent out a release stating Nevan Larson, 23, was arrested on drug charges and will have a court appearance Friday afternoon.

The release said Wausau Police Department conducted an investigation with cooperation from the Wausau School District. According to the inmate list on Marathon County Jail, Larson is charged with possession of cocaine.

Wausau Police Department sent a release stating “the school resource officer (SRO) at John Muir Middle School received information that a teacher may have cocaine in his vehicle.”
