Company Description
Our client is a specialist pharmaceutical company founded in 2019, that provides tailored solutions for the purchase, supply, and distribution of traditional pharmaceutical products & Medical Cannabis.
The firm’s UK entity focuses on distributing traditional pharma products and Medical Cannabis, while its German entity, founded in 2020, purely focuses on distributing Medical Cannabis in Germany.
The company has operated in the CBD & Medical Cannabis space since 2019 and has grown to more than 50 employees.
Role Description
As a part of their Growth Plans for 2024, our client is looking to hire a Head of Marketing to join their team based in Berlin.
In this key role, the primary responsibility will be to drive the implementation of global strategic objectives within the German market, playing a vital role in supporting the company’s ongoing growth.
As well as working hands-on, you will strategically lead and build a marketing team around you.
Having start-up experience is not essential, but a desire & willingness to work in a fast-paced start-up environment is essential for the role.
Responsibilities :
- Development, planning and conception of marketing strategies (both online and offline)
- Control of marketing activities (online and offline) / campaign management
- Carrying out and evaluating market and competition observations and analyses as well as company analyses
- Identification of growth areas, determination of market size and definition of the relevant target group
- Close coordination with managing directors, Head of Sales and regular presentations of the current situation
- Determination of marketing metrics to measure the success of marketing activities
- Marketing budget planning and responsibility
- Personnel responsibility : Management of the marketing team
- Development of marketing concepts for existing or new products
- Monitoring consistent compliance with corporate identity and brand management
- Assist the MD in building up a marketing team according to the needs of the company
Preferred Qualifications and Skills :
- At least 3 – 5 years of experience in marketing ideally in a regulated industry
- Desire to lead and manage a team. Previous management experience is a bonus
- Experience in the cannabis market in Germany is a huge bonus, but open to experience from other regulated markets, such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, tobacco, Healthcare and alcoholic beverages
- Experience with, or willing to work hands-on, in a small team
- Fluent in German, and conversational English
- Must be already located in Germany, and be able to work in their Berlin office 3 days a week
