Florida Moms to Launch Women-led Marijuana Education and Advocacy Initiative Aimed at Building Support for Legalization, Regulation

FLORIDA — The Women’s Initiative for a Safe and Equitable Florida (WISE Florida) will launch Thursday with a virtual news conference at 12:15 p.m. ET. Founders of the new nonprofit will be joined by founding supporters Florida Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner Nikki Fried and Cannabis Director Holly Bell
WISE Florida was founded by a small group of moms from across the state who are also leaders in the Florida cannabis policy and advocacy community. Through education, outreach and advocacy, the organization aims to raise awareness about the harms of cannabis prohibition and build support for regulating cannabis to improve safety, advance justice, and foster opportunity in Florida.
