DEPTFORD — Rowan College of South Jersey is the latest school in the region to offer a cannabis training course.
Beginning March 14, the course will be comprised of five virtual sessions 6 to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. It will cover cannabis law and regulations, cultivation basics, manufactured products, testing, dosing and administration, and working in a dispensary. Those enrolled will also learn more about the history of cannabis, the human body’s endocannabinoid system, cannabis taxonomy and terminology, and how to assist medical marijuana program patients with qualifying conditions.
“Rowan College of South Jersey continues to identify in-demand training to prepare individuals for employment in emerging industries,” said Brigette Satchell, the dean of Career & Technical Education. “This course provides the foundational knowledge needed for employment opportunities in the cannabis industry.”
