Cagliari Police arrested a 32-year-old man for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.
On Saturday, the Flying Squad officers, during a territorial control service, while passing through Viale Elmas , noticed a young man on a bicycle with a backpack on his shoulders.
When he saw the police, the 32-year-old headed to a nearby bar, parked his bike and hid his backpack under a parked car , then sat down at a table, trying to hide with the other customers. The officers first recovered the backpack, then reached and stopped the man who, at the same time, was hiding in the bathroom.
Inside the backpack there were 110 grams of marijuana, 45 grams of hashish and a precision electronic scale, while inside the wallet 420 euros were found divided into small denomination banknotes. The search was also extended to the house where another 75 grams of marijuana, 35 grams of hashish, two precision electronic scales, two folding knives with blades soaked in resinous substance, two vacuum machines, 100 euros and other material used for packaging were found.
Drugs and money were seized. The 32-year-old was then arrested in flagrante delicto. The investigating judge confirmed the arrest with a one-year sentence and a €3,000 fine, suspended sentence.
