A 27-year-old man and 24-year-old woman have been charged and remanded this week after Notts Police neighbourhood and Operation Reacher officers conducted a drugs warrant in Aspley.
Police said:
‘A sophisticated cannabis grow was discovered across two properties, the electricity had been bypassed to supply both addresses, causing the meter to melt due to degree of heat passing through it.
‘This warrant comes weeks after another cannabis grow in Aspley caused properties to be evacuated after a fire broke out.
‘A 47-year-old woman from a neighbouring property has also been investigated.
‘This one of a number of warrants that City West Reacher and Neighbourhoods policing teams have carried out and we will work on all community intelligence or concerns that are reported to us.
