Professor Benny de Beer’s CBD Full Spectrum has clinched South Africa’s first cannabis export order to Brazil. And the company has received SAHPRA approval to launch three cannabis products locally, to treat anxiety.
The SAHPRA-licensed Vanderbiljpark grow-op is rapidly expanding its capacity from four greenhouses with an additional 10 tunnels being erected to deal with initial orders from Brazil and Australia.
Prof de Beer told Cannabiz Africa in an exclusive interview on 30 November 2021, that CBD full spectrum would be providing cannabis oils to patients in the capital Brasilia on the same basis that the Section 21 companies offer South African patients cannabis. He said that SAHPRA had also given him the go-ahead to go to market with three different cannabis products to treat anxiety.
“I got the final paperwork at 10 pm last night. It’s very exciting. This could be a game-changer” said the Prof, who has pioneered the Section 21 medical cannabis doctor-patient scheme in South Africa.
His Professor De Beer Research and Education Centre enables doctors and patients to share information and to identify the best forms of cannabis treatment. He has signed up 100 medical cannabis patients in terms of the SAHPRA-approved Section 21 scheme
