The Cannabis for Private Purposes Bill is set to be finalised by President Cyril Ramaphosa soon. It was approved by the National Assembly last November and passed by the National Council of Provinces last week, with 40 votes in favour and three against. The Bill provides a new legal framework for a stipulated quantity of cannabis and the use of it in private settings. So what exactly does this entail?
