St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) — Treval Hodge, a resident of Haynes Smith Village, has been slapped with a total of six charges following a significant drug bust at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport.

 

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) and His Majesty’s Customs and Excise Department filed the charges stemming from an incident on December 23, 2024.

During a routine inspection of delayed baggage at the airport, officers from the RSCNPF’s Anti-Narcotics Unit uncovered three packages containing green vegetable material, later confirmed to be Cannabis.

The discovery was made between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. as Hodge attempted to claim the baggage. The immediate arrest followed, with Hodge being taken into police custody along with the suspected narcotics.

On December 24, 2024, ​Hodge was formally charged with two serious offences: Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply and Importation of Cannabis.​

In addition to these charges, the Customs Department has brought four more allegations against him, which include Submitting A False Declaration To a Customs Officer, Importation Of Restricted Goods To Wit Cannabis Sativa, Importation Of a Quantity of Cannabis Sativa, and Knowingly Attempting To Fraudulently Evade Customs.

All charges have been documented and laid at the Basseterre Police Station as the investigation continues.
