The majority of Swedes are positive about doctors being able to prescribe medical cannabis. That a drug is seen as a political issue says a lot about the complex cannabis issue in general, says Josefin Månsson at Stockholm University.

65 percent of the Swedish people are positive that doctors can prescribe medical cannabis to patients with severe illnesses, where other drugs do not produce the desired effect. This shows a new study from Novus, commissioned by the investment company Enexis and the pharmaceutical technology company Cannabis Delivery Sciences , a company that develops and commercializes patented cannabis products.
