A police raid on three Galveston smoke shops last week came after undercover police officers bought psychedelic-infused chocolates and vape pens that were on sale at the store, newly released criminal complaints show.
A Galveston County Sheriff’s Office task force March 27 launched simultaneous raids at three Hazy Daze stores in Galveston. Following the raids, four men, including Hazy Daze’s owner, Shlomai Wolriach had been arrested and charged with crimes including engaging in criminal organized activity. Wolraich was also charged with money laundering and two other men were charged with misdemeanors related to a gun and marijuana allegedly found during the raids.
