The Economics Of Cannabis .. Stripe Just Shut Down Whitney Economics Payment Processing

Here at CLR we’ve had this happen already and now sail under the radar as much as we can.

I know inevitability will smack us in the face again at some point.

The fact that a company that is in the business of analysing the market and is THE  trusted name has been kicked off the platform says more than enough about the complete lack of education in the wider economy and especially the finance sector. .

In my prior report to this one I was just highlighting that BAT have just thrown another £200 million at cannabis.

I’m presuming they won’t be having any banking issues!

Despite describing my business as an economic research company and that I sell reports on line, Stripe has shut down my credit card processing.

Ironic since my company does not take a position on the legalization of cannabis, nor on pending legislation. I guess it was just a matter of time.

No way to contact them to get details on how to take corrective action either. Just shutting it down.

and as i read down my Linked in home page today I also came across this post..

I find it strange that the state of Colorado can successfully deposit cannabis tax dollars into the 4 federal banks they contract with (Chase Bank, Key Bank, Wells Fargo, US Bank) but industry stakeholders are debanked when using the exact same banks. Make it make sense.
