Cheeba Academy in Johannesburg is developing a Cannabis Hub for companies at its Rivonia campus. On 11 March Cheeba is holding an Industry Open Day where students will participate in hands-on practical training with experienced growers at Jazzfarm which is operated by Fields of Green for All is a South African non-profit advocating for optimal cannabis regulation in SA.
TheUniversity of Connecticutdeveloped the first US university class on cannabis horticulture. There is a fundamental course and an advanced course. Students not seeking a degree are welcome. The program sits within the College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources (CAHNR) which also hosts acannabis research unit focused on cannabis production analysis and improvement as well as just increased knowledge about the plant.
