A man has been arrested after hundreds of cannabis plants were seized in a disused shop.
Police discovered more than 200 plants at the premises in Middle Street, Yeovil, at about 08:30 GMT.
A 38-year-old man was arrested as a warrant was carried out by Avon and Somerset Police and Tarian, the regional organised crime unit for southern Wales.
Sgt Joshua Rutter, of the Yeovil Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Drug cultivation and supply causes a huge amount of misery to communities.”
“We will always seek to identify perpetrators and look to take proactive action to bring their criminality to an end.
“We are always hugely grateful to members of the public who provide information relating to suspected illegal drug activity,” he added.
The man was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of a Class B drug, with police confirming on Monday evening that he remains in custody.
