A New Iberia resident was arrested after the Lafayette Police Narcotics Unit recovered 7.6 pounds of high-grade marijuana valued at $69,100 on Jan. 21, according to a statement from the Lafayette Police Department.
LPD’s investigation, with help from the New Iberia Police Department, led to the discovery that the marijuana belonged to Kan Phounsavat of New Iberia.
Phounsavat was arrested and booked into Iberia Parish Jail for Possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
