After surveying over 10,000 workers in Colorado, the agency found that 14.6 percent said they consumed marijuana in some form in the last 30 days. The highest employees were the 32 percent of food servers and preparers who said they used marijuana at least once in the last month, which isn’t surprising if you’re familiar with Anthony Bourdain.
The runner-up was also in the hospitality industry. Just under one-third (30 percent) of people in the “accommodation and food services” industry said they consumed cannabis in the last month. Since those employees probably work alongside the top demo, it seems like the preparers and servers are bogarting joints from the hostesses and busboys.
In third place (at 28 percent) were people working in “arts, design, entertainment, sports and media” (no comment).
Rounding off the list of top consumers was a four-way tie among of workers in “production,” “life, physical and social science,” “sales” and “installation, maintenance and repair.” Between 19 to 21 percent of those professionals said they enjoyed a puff in the last month.

The company released a hemp-based kombucha on 4-20 that is creating quite a stir with the Bootleg/hemp fan base. According to company co-founder, Jeff Empric, “We’re now licensed in NYS as a hemp processor – a license to process industrial hemp. We’re working with local farmers, and a drying plant of the East Side plant (Plant Science Laboratories) – they procure the hemp locally and dry it for us. Ginge was close to being put down when he developed a large tumour on his paw.
His owner Jacek Matusiak, 35, from Burton, said: ‘Putting him to sleep was imminent. He had two strokes, an enlarged liver, significant weight loss and tumour growth to the front paw pad.’
Despite being prescribed antibiotics and steroids by his vet, nothing seemed to work, until Mr Matusiak started feeding his pet cannabis-oil laced food after reading about how a cancer patient used the drug to overcome the disease.
Within just two days of putting five drops of the oil in Ginge’s food, the cat’s tumour shrunk rapidly, as well as the skeletal feline friend gaining weight, regaining his balance and finding his voice again.
Mr Matusiak, who is speaking out to raise awareness of cannabis oil’s benefits, said: ‘Everything else didn’t work, but we believe it was the oil we gave him that helped him out.’

he Estonian borough of Kanepi held a competition in December 2017 and January 2018 to choose a new coat of arms and flag following the incorporation of the Kõlleste and Valgjärv parishes into the Kanepi municipality. A cannabis leaf overwhelmingly won the vote and was approved by the the municipality’s evaluation committee in March 2018.
In December, 23 designs were submitted for the design contest, of which the rural municipality evaluation committee selected seven finalists, including the image of a cannabis leaf.
“Kanepi” means cannabis in Estonian , but the term does not derive from historical use of the herb as a medicine or a drug, but the ancient production of hemp in this southern Estonian region about 143 miles, or about 230 km, southeast of the capital, Tallinn.
