Peer Networking Event:

Cultivator Roundtable

This summer, the CCB is hosting a series of Peer Networking Events to hear directly from licensees. Board members have already hosted events for retailers and manufacturers, hearing comments and feedback from licensees on a variety of topics.

Coming this Wednesday, August 14, is the final event in the series: a roundtable for cultivators, hosted by Commissioner Kyle Harris.

Reminder: Scam attempts on cannabis establishments.

CCB staff continue to hear reports of attempted scams targeting cannabis establishments throughout the state.

The scammers place a phone call pretending to be a utility company. They often threaten to shut off power and are aware of the business being cannabis-related.

Always use extreme caution when taking phone calls from supposed utility companies, especially when prompted for payment.

The Vermont Attorney General’s Office has more resources on scams as well as a form to report them.

August Board meeting application deadline

The deadline to be included on the register for the June Board Meeting is August 15, 2024.

In order to be ready for approval at the August Board meeting, an applicant must:

• Have fully completed their application
• Received a certificate of occupancy from fire safety (when necessary), and
• Have passed their initial compliance site review by the CCB.
