QALAT, Afghanistan, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) — Afghan counter-narcotics police have destroyed a drug processing lab, seizing arms and ammunition in south Afghanistan’s Zabul province, provincial police spokesman Zabihullah Jawhar said Wednesday.
During the operation launched on Tuesday, police arrested one person and found an AKM assault rifle, five hand grenades, two anti-vehicle mines and a huge quantity of bullets, the official said.
Police have also destroyed 10 acres of hashish farms in Shahjoy district of the province, the official added. ■
