Green Light Law Group founder, appointed to the Board of Directors of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Hemp Industries Association

Board Appointment: Pacific Northwest Hemp Industries Association
We are very pleased to announce that Green Light’s Brad Blommer has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Hemp Industries Association. The PNW HIA is a non-profit trade association on a mission to advance the hemp industries in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. We are the first regional chapter of the HIA, which has been working to promote and protect the U.S. hemp industries since 1994.
The hemp industry is moving forward rapidly despite the uncertainty it faces as new federal regulations begin to be implemented. Very few would agree that the USDA’s Interim Final Rules (IFR) met the goals of the 2018 Farm Bill for the U.S. hemp industry.  Congress meant to promote the industry, not saddle it with regulations that could put hemp farmers out of business and weigh down the industry.  Brad is looking forward to working with PNW HIA and others to make the voices of our local hemp industry participants heard on Capitol Hill.
For those of you interested in learning more about HIA, you can visit their websites at thehia.org and pnwhia.org.
